B.Sc Information Technology

B.Sc. I.T. is an integrated course of three years with six semesters. The main focus of the course is to initiate, integrate,implement and innovate the technology to meet the current IT industry needs. It is a 3 years  Undergraduate program. Students may pursue this program after completing their 12th in Science stream.As the name itself suggest Information Technology, B.Sc. IT course is similar to IT Engineering program also!
After completion of the course, a students can enroll for a post-graduation degree of two years in Master of science in Information Technology (IT.) degree, M.C.A., M.B.A., M.M.S. (System) etc.
These days IT directly or indirectly influences people in all fields from transportation to healthcare to banking.Therefore, B.Sc. IT graduates may get great jobs opportunities.Also using their own skills, IT graduates may also start up their own business.

 

Educational Qualification Required:-


Candidates must have undergone 12th in Science stream schooling  with Physics, Chemistry and

Mathematics as minimum marks criteria is 50% (PCM subjects) in 12th Board examination

Eligibility Criteria 
All the criterias are mandatory for all the candidates and have been effective since 16th July 2007 and have not been revised till today's date.

Eligibility after 12th Standard

 Mandatory requirements for candidates who have completed HSC (12th Standard).


1. Minimum Ten Years of School and Two Years of High School from deemed (approved) university or board.
2. Mathematics or Statistics as a curriculum subject in 12th Standard.
3. Passed with minimum aggregate marks in 12th Standard as stated below which is according to caste category of candidate.
Open Category (General Category)
Aggregate marks must be greater than or equal to 45%

Reserved Categories
Aggregate marks must be greater than or equal to 40%

Note: Different colleges have different criteria for Mathematics and for others subjects too.


Eligibility after Diploma



Mandatory requirements for candidates who have completed 3 years of diploma after SSC.



1. Candidate must have completed and passed 3 years of Polytechnic diploma successfully from recognized body of technical education.
2. Candidate must have completed diploma from university approved stream.
3. Diploma candidate must also secure minimum aggregate marks as stated below.
